Job summary

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. seeks a Plumbing Engineer-in-Training (EIT) I to join our Plumbing Engineering team. You will assist in designing plumbing and fire protection systems for diverse facilities and support the creation of construction documents and calculations.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, gain exposure to Revit/AutoCAD, and work toward professional licensure while contributing to code-compliant, efficient building systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certification obtained or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Interest in thermal and fluid systems and building engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of plumbing and fire protection systems for healthcare, education, commercial, sports, and civic facilities.
• Develop plumbing construction documents, drawings, specs, and calculations.
• Perform pipe sizing, fixture counts, system demand, and equipment selection calculations.
