Job summary

SSR is seeking a motivated Plumbing Engineer-in-Training (EIT) I to join our Plumbing Engineering team. You will assist with the design and analysis of plumbing and fire protection systems for healthcare, higher education, commercial, sports, and civic projects.

Working with experienced engineers, you will help develop construction documents, perform pipe sizing and system calculations, review submittals, and coordinate layouts using Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification obtained or ability to obtain within six months.
• Interest in thermal and fluid systems and building engineering.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and analysis of plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Develop plumbing construction documents, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Perform pipe sizing, fixture counts, and system demand calculations.
• Utilize Revit, AutoCAD and coordinate building layouts.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural and civil teams.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and product data for compliance.
• Conduct site visits and assist with issue resolution.
• Support project documentation, schedules and client deliverables.
• Research codes and standards to ensure compliance.
