Job summary

Refresco Beverages US Inc. is seeking a PLC Technician to design, program, repair and maintain PLC systems across production plants. You will inspect equipment, perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer specs, and assist with installations for new food manufacturing equipment.

Expect to troubleshoot, calibrate, and optimize systems for reliability and safety. The role requires hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, PowerFlex drives, PanelView devices, and related software, plus

Qualifications

Must be able to use RS Logix 5000/500/5 for machine troubleshooting.
Must be able to go online with Control Logix/Compact Logix/SLC500/PLC5 via Ethernet I/P, DH+, or RS232.
Must read electrical schematics and interpret wiring diagrams.
Must be able to use a multimeter and work in control panels up to 480VAC.
Understands P&ID symbols and tagging on line layout drawings.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 40/400/525 and Yaskawa V1000/P1000 drives.
Ability to download PLC programs and modify existing ones as needed.
Aptitude for further development of technical skills.

Responsibilities

Adhere to safety policies, GMPs, and wear PPE.
Ensure food quality and Safe Quality Food compliance.
Lead troubleshooting during equipment failures with production team.
Maintain and upgrade production equipment; install new packaging and processing equipment.
Diagnose PLC/automation issues including faulty components and wiring.
Calibrate and test equipment for accuracy and compliance.
Assist with PLC system upgrades to improve efficiency and safety.
Modify existing programs for optimization and safety.
Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
Train team members on basic PLC functions and troubleshooting.
