Job summary

Applegreen USA seeks a Plaza Director in Ohio to lead day-to-day operations across multiple travel plazas, driving sales, speed of service, brand standards, and food quality. You will build and mentor a strong leadership team and maintain high guest satisfaction.

This role requires 5+ years of multi-unit leadership, flexible on-site hours, strong cost control, and collaboration with brand teams, HR, and maintenance to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in multi-unit or big-box leadership.
• Flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours per week including days, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods; lift at least 20 pounds.
• Strong cost control and quality standards.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to meet or exceed targets for sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality & safety.
• Monitor progress toward financial and performance objectives and implement strategic changes to maximize performance and profitability.
• Ensure that each food & beverage concept adheres to brand standards.
• Maintain an engaging culture focused on learning, information sharing and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams; manage hiring, coaching and promotions.
• Supervise plaza leadership to ensure goals are met and direct reports are managed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities & Maintenance.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with vendors and communities.
