Applegreen, a leading travel plaza operator, seeks a Plaza Director to manage day-to-day operations and long-term profitability of a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway.

You will lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, friendly service while meeting financial targets. The role demands strong leadership, cost control, and a commitment to brand standards in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven success in multi-unit or big-box leadership.
• Available to work a flexible on-site schedule approximately 50 hours per week including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to drive profitable growth while improving customer and associate satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to achieve sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, and food quality standards.
• Monitor progress towards financial and performance objectives and implement strategic changes to maximize performance.
• Ensure each food/beverage concept adheres to brand standards.
• Maintain an engaging work culture with continuous learning and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams; manage staffing across the plaza.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, training, promotion, and disciplinary actions for plaza leadership.
• Supervise plaza leadership to ensure goals are met and reports are managed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities & Maintenance.
