Applegreen USA Welcome Centers seeks a Plaza Director to oversee the day-to-day operations and long-term profitability of a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway. Lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, friendly service to travelers while achieving financial and performance goals.

The role requires 5+ years in multi-unit leadership, strong cost control, and a proven ability to coach and develop staff, ensuring compliance with brand standards and food quality.

Qualifications

• Proven 5+ years in multi-unit or big-box leadership.
• Strong operational and financial acumen with a track record of driving profitability.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and people leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to uphold brand standards and food quality & safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of plaza leadership to meet sales, speed, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Monitor financial and performance metrics and implement changes to maximize profitability.
• Ensure all food/beverage concepts meet brand standards and quality.
• Develop a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and staff development.
• Recruit, train, and retain strong teams; manage hiring, coaching, and promotions.
• Oversee compliance with policies and laws and coordinate with internal partners.
