Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking an entry‑level Child Care Specialist (Behavior Technician) to deliver one‑on‑one, play‑based ABA therapy in a center setting for children aged 2–6. You will follow clinician plans and document progress using a tablet, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers paid training toward RBT certification, with a structured progression through the Soar to New Heights program and regular opportunities for raises as skills develop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain RBT certification within the first six weeks of employment.
• Reliable transportation to the training location and local center, along with dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, and comfort using computers and tablets.
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, change positions quickly, spend extended time on the floor, occasionally run short distances, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, play-based ABA therapy to young children in a center setting.
• Follow individualized care plans created by clinicians in behavior analysis, speech therapy, and occupational therapy.
• Observe and document each child’s progress using a computer or tablet.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team and share updates that support consistent, high-quality care.
• Soar provides paid training for RBT certification and ongoing professional development; opportunities for raises and promotions every three months as skills grow.
• Longer-term career paths may include behavior analysis, psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, training, operations, and other behavioral health roles.
