Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking entry-level Child Care Specialists (Behavior Technicians) to deliver one-on-one, play-based ABA therapy to children aged 2 to 6 in a center setting.

You will follow care plans from clinicians across behavior analysis, speech, and occupational therapy, and document progress using a laptop or tablet. Paid training for RBT certification is provided, with a structured progression program for raises and promotions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain RBT certification within the first six weeks of employment.
• Reliable transportation to the training location and local center, with dependable attendance.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, and comfort using computers and tablets.
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, change positions, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, play-based ABA therapy to young children in a center setting.
• Follow individualized care plans created by clinicians in behavior analysis, speech therapy, and occupational therapy.
• Observe and document each child's progress using a computer or tablet.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team and share updates that support consistent, high-quality care.
• Soar provides paid training for RBT certification and ongoing professional development; career progression opportunities.
• Longer-term career paths may include behavior analysis, psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, training, operations, and other behavioral health roles.
