Job summary

Credit Acceptance Corporation is building a leading Platform Services organization to empower engineering teams to deliver high-quality software. The role provides strategy, leadership, and daily management of platform services, driving AI-assisted development, and setting standards for internal tooling and deployment pipelines.

The position requires a strong track record in scalable platform leadership, production ownership, and collaboration with executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science or engineering field; MBA preferred.
10+ years in highly technical software engineering or technical architecture.
5+ years of supervisory or team-lead experience with multiple teams.
Experience leading AI-assisted software development at scale.
History of owning services in production with SLOs and on-call.

Responsibilities

Provide strategy, leadership and day-to-day management of the Platform Services organization.
Lead development, enhancement and support of integrated platform services for engineering teams.
Define approach to AI-assisted development, including coding assistants and guardrails.
Deliver templates, scaffolds and reference implementations for new work.
Own development environments and inner loop tooling, including build/test performance.
Be accountable for availability, performance and support model of shared services.
Grow platform adoption and ensure the default path is the supported path.
Establish measures of engineering productivity and platform performance.
