Credit Acceptance is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to shape the multi-year technical strategy for the company. You will stay close to code and systems while guiding enterprise architecture across originations, servicing, marketplace, data, and AI.

You will own the AI agent architecture, set governance, enable real-time decisioning, and drive a migration off on‑premises to AWS and Databricks. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes security, scalability, and measurable engineering outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience.
• Track record of setting and delivering multi-year technical strategy at enterprise scale.
• Experience with distributed systems architecture and enterprise-grade AI/LLM considerations.
• Hands-on, architecture ownership with production systems and cross-team collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Define multi-year technical strategy for the enterprise across originations, servicing, marketplace, data, and AI.
• Own the enterprise agent architecture spanning systems and governance, with policy and observability.
• Lead migration of transactional/analytical workloads off on‑premises to AWS and Databricks, including cost and resilience planning.
• Architect real-time decisioning, model serving, and experimentation to support scalable scoring and pricing.
• Define the golden path for software specification, generation, review, testing, and deployment, with strong emphasis on security and regulatory compliance.
