Job summary

Credit Acceptance is seeking a Director of Software Engineering, Platform Services to lead a horizontal engineering team delivering shared platform services, tooling and internal developer services.

You will establish AI-assisted development standards, own environments and inner-loop tooling, and partner with cloud and security to drive adoption and productivity across the engineering organization.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, engineering/technical degree; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in highly technical development or enterprise services roles.
• 5+ years supervisory experience managing multiple teams.
• Proven track record delivering internal developer tooling and shared services.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategy, leadership and day-to-day management of Platform Services.
• Lead development of integrated platform services for engineering teams.
• Define AI-assisted development standards, coding assistants and frameworks.
• Own development environments, inner-loop tooling, builds, tests and provisioning.
• Ensure availability, performance and on-call coverage for shared services.
• Grow adoption across product verticals and align goals to business priorities.
