Job summary

Credit Acceptance Corporation is seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide agile teams in delivering scalable, API-first platforms. The role focuses on driving AI-enabled engineering, modernizing architectures, and ensuring reliable, secure cloud deployments across a distributed service landscape.

You will mentor teams, set technical vision, and partner with stakeholders to align product outcomes with business goals, while operating in a hybrid work model across multiple hub locations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience leading engineering teams.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, mentorship, cross-functional project execution, setting and executing technical vision and strategy.
• Extensive experience with Agile and DevOps practices including test driven, incremental releases, CI, and deployment automation.
• Experience in microservices design, migration planning, service granularity, interservice communication, traceability, orchestration, and failure isolation.
• Experience with Cloud migrations in mixed on-prem/cloud environments (container orchestration, security, serverless).
• Experience leading teams that design and operate reliable distributed services at scale, including observability, failure recovery, and AI-enabled engineering workflows.
• Experience building secure, scalable cloud platforms with deployment automation and AI workloads such as RAG, model services, agents, and MCP integrations.
• Candidates must reside in or relocate to hub locations: Southfield MI area; Bellevue WA area; or San Francisco Bay Area, CA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor team members on agile and product mindset tenets and incremental delivery.
• Plan work to align with teams and deliver outcomes incrementally.
• Oversee cross-functional teams to deliver world-class products with customer value.
• Design solutions for initiatives spanning multiple applications and teams.
• Ensure process and tech standards enable consistent delivery of value.
• Develop and track delivery metrics and monitor technical health of the product.
