Job summary

Milliman MedInsight seeks a Technical Product Manager with a platform engineering focus to guide shared platform capabilities enabling product and engineering teams to build, ship, and operate analytics and AI solutions. You’ll translate engineering needs into concrete requirements and measurable outcomes, aligning across SME platform teams, product leadership, and clients.

Qualifications

5+ years of Product Management, Technical Product Management, Platform Product Management, or similar relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, healthcare, or other relevant subjects
Familiarity with analytics technologies (e.g., Databricks, SQL, R, Python)
Understanding of cloud technologies and cloud-native architectures, with Azure experience preferred
Experience working with platform engineering, internal developer platforms, infrastructure services, APIs, CI/CD, DevOps workflows, observability, reliability, security, or other shared technical capabilities
Ability to translate complex technical concepts, engineering trade-offs, and operational constraints into clear product requirements, roadmap priorities, and stakeholder communications
Strong product judgment in balancing long-term platform scalability, developer experience, compliance, operational reliability, and near-term delivery needs
Ability to analyze user requests, define requirements, develop project plans, and report conclusions
Strong understanding of how modern Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) platforms function, such as Pulumi and Terraform

Responsibilities

Serving as SME for shared platform capabilities across MedInsight’s ecosystem and influencing product delivery
Collaborating with Product, Platform Engineering, Data and Application Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams
Defining product requirements for internal developer platforms, reusable services, deployment workflows, observability, reliability, security, and operational tooling
Identifying developer and product pain points and prioritizing work to improve engineering velocity and platform adoption
Defining adoption, performance, reliability, and developer experience metrics to measure value delivered to internal teams and clients
Representing the voice of internal users by gathering and prioritizing customer requirements and feedback
Coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to align on initiatives and roadmaps
Creating and maintaining product roadmaps with Product Strategy and Product Leadership teams
Prioritizing core platform requirements in a way that business and application owners can understand
