Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Business Operations Manager (Customer Integrity & Threat Detection) to safeguard SpaceX services and detect misuse, while protecting privacy. You’ll lead investigations of scams, fraud, and illicit activities, collaborating with stakeholders and maintaining compliance with legal obligations.

The role requires 6+ years in global affairs or investigations and strong data analysis skills, with a 15% travel expectation and on-site in Redmond, WA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations; OR 12+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations in lieu of a degree.
• 6+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and/or statistical software (e.g., R)
• 6+ years of experience investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or other illicit activities)
• 3+ years owning and driving improvements in processes, technology, or other business areas to improve customer integrity or related capabilities

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risks
• Design and develop solutions to priority risks. Own their deployment and effectiveness in concert with a wide range of stakeholders
• Represent the team in cross-functional groups and in appropriate areas of expertise
• Establish yourself as an expert in 2+ relevant investigative techniques, technologies or abuse prevention strategies
• Reactively investigate potential issues such as scams, fraud, and illicit goods and activities
• Conduct periodic reviews to support legal and compliance obligations
• Execute with consideration for customer privacy, targeting activities of indisputable harm and avoiding overreach
