Verra Mobility is seeking a Director, Software Engineering to lead the Platform portfolio, defining technology strategy and driving end-to-end delivery across multiple squads. You will partner with product and customer teams to align architecture with business goals and ensure scalable, secure systems.

The role requires 10+ years in software engineering, 5+ years leading teams, and a strong background in modern stacks, APIs, cloud platforms, and data governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering delivering enterprise systems.
• 5+ years leading multiple teams or squads through Managers and Tech Leads.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own Portfolio Technology Strategy and delivery outcomes for the platform squads.
• Identify shared capabilities to extend or reuse rather than rebuild.
• Lead live system migrations and data reconciliation for platform transitions.
• Govern data architecture, lineage, and security for multi-tenant systems.
