Job summary

Verra Mobility is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the Platform portfolio, owning technology strategy and end-to-end delivery. This role partners with Product and customer engineering teams to drive architecture, data governance, and modernization across multi-tenant, transaction-heavy systems.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in leadership, strong domain expertise, and a track record of delivering high-scale platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering delivering enterprise systems.
• 5+ years leading multiple teams or squads.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Define technology strategy for the Platform portfolio including end-to-end delivery outcomes.
• Lead live system migrations and legacy platform transitions with data reconciliation and rollback planning.
• Own bid and contract review to ensure feasible commitments within governance constraints.
• Develop technical leaders and ensure succession across the portfolio.
• Collaborate with Product Portfolio Director and external partner/customer teams on architecture and integration.
