Job summary

Verra Mobility seeks a Director of Software Engineering to own the technology strategy and end-to-end delivery for the Platform portfolio. You will partner with product and customer teams to shape architecture, governance, and execution for multiple squads, guiding modernization and data integrity at scale.

Ideal candidates bring a strong track record in platform leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of software engineering experience, with leadership across multiple teams.
Experience leading platform migrations and modernization efforts.
Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and multi-tenant systems.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and evaluating vendor solutions.

Responsibilities

Own Portfolio Technology Strategy and end-to-end delivery for the portfolio's squads.
Lead live system migrations and legacy platform transitions with careful planning and rollback.
Govern data, security, and compliance across multi-tenant, transaction-heavy systems.
Evaluate contracts and bids to ensure feasibility within governance and delivery constraints.
