Job summary

Speechify is seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS, Payment, Subscription, Auth and analytics interfaces. You will help shape scalable backend architecture and deliver strong user experiences across our platform.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience focusing on TS/Node (required).
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS/Azure or other cloud providers.
• Efficient ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks by urgency and impact.
• Preferred: Docker and containerized deployments.
• Preferred: Deploying high availability apps on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, improving performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise clients and integration needs.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy.
