Job summary

Southern Polymer, Inc. seeks a field-based sales professional to develop, coordinate and implement all sales functions for thermoplastic materials (neat Polypropylene and Polyethylene) within the TX/OK/LA/AR territory.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in plastics sales or technical marketing, will travel up to 70% to customer sites, and build professional relationships with purchasing and engineering staff while working with Product Development to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in plastics sales or technical marketing.
• Proven ability to develop new business in competitive markets.
• Excellent communication, organization and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales strategies and action plans for identified targets.
• Secure orders by visiting facilities and contacting by phone.
• Obtain specifications and quote opportunities.
• Coordinate with Credit Manager to facilitate credit and collections.
• Follow up on quotations submitted to customers.
• Establish relationships with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, QA, and management.
