Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Surgical Scheduler for Cooley Dickinson Plastic Surgery in Florence, MA. This full-time role supports surgeons, patients, and insurance providers from initial contact through postoperative follow-up.

You will manage complex scheduling, insurance authorizations, and patient registration in a fast-paced medical office, using EPIC and Microsoft tools, while upholding HIPAA and high standards of service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical office.
• Prior surgical scheduling experience valued.
• Customer service experience and teamwork.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Comfort using Outlook, Excel, data entry tools, and electronic scheduling systems.
• Ability to work accurately with high volume calls and scheduling details.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate complex surgical cases from consultation through postoperative follow-up.
• Manage scheduling details and gather required documentation.
• Coordinate insurance authorizations and explain process to patients.
• Support self-pay cosmetic cases and ensure clear scheduling communication.
• Receive inquiries from patients and referring providers seeking access to care.
• Complete patient registration and scheduling per department procedures.
• Answer calls, triage requests, and provide professional service.
• Maintain accurate documentation across systems while protecting privacy per HIPAA.
