Cooley Dickinson Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time Surgical Scheduler to join our busy, collaborative practice in downtown Florence, MA. This is an opportunity to work closely with surgeons, physician assistants, patients, and insurance providers while supporting life-enhancing reconstructive and cosmetic care in a modern, conveniently located office.
As the Surgical Scheduler, you will coordinate complex surgical cases from consultation through postoperative follow-up, ensuring patients, providers, and referring offices receive timely, accurate, and high-quality support. You will manage scheduling details, gather required documentation, coordinate insurance authorizations, and help patients understand what to expect throughout the process.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical office environment. Prior surgical scheduling experience is strongly valued, along with a commitment to excellent patient service and teamwork. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Customer service experience, including contact or call center experience, required. Medical office or health care setting experience preferred. Epic experience preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment. Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, data entry tools, and electronic scheduling systems. Ability to work accurately while handling a high volume of calls, requests, and scheduling details.
