Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Western Massachusetts is seeking a full-time Surgical Scheduler for the Cooley Dickinson Plastic Surgery practice in Florence, MA. You’ll work with surgeons, assistants, patients, and insurers to manage the surgical process from consult to follow-up in a busy, friendly office.

The role offers a 40-hour week, hybrid remote type, and involves scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations. Strong organization and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience, including contact or call center experience, required.
• Medical office or health care setting experience preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures and coordinate related pre- and post-operative appointments.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and collect necessary medical records, referrals, and supporting documentation.
• Support self-pay cosmetic cases and help ensure clear communication around scheduling requirements.
• Receive incoming communication and online requests from patients and referring providers seeking access to care.
• Complete patient registration and scheduling processes accurately and in accordance with department procedures.
• Answer calls, triage requests, take detailed messages, and provide professional, courteous service.
• Maintain accurate documentation across systems while protecting patient confidentiality and privacy consistent with HIPAA guidelines.
