Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a plasmapheresis technician to execute venipunctures and plasma collection while ensuring donor safety and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on maintaining high production and donor-service standards in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include machine operation, logs, calibration, and adherence to SOPs, with an emphasis on accuracy, donor care, and safety throughout all procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3 months’ experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• Completed training prior to performing duties independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations to maintain production standards.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and positive donor experience.
• Stock and replenish supplies to meet production needs and keep a clean environment.
• Review donor ID and maintain donor confidentiality per SOPs.
• Set up equipment and disposables for venipuncture and plasmapheresis; label units accurately.
• Execute venipunctures and plasma collection with high quality and safety.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines; respond to alarms and document events.
• Monitor donor conditions for safety and plasma quality.
• Maintain donor safety and product quality, manage waste per safety protocols.
• Calibrate and maintain plasmapheresis machines; remove/replace equipment as needed.
• Maintain logs and report unsafe situations to management.
• Drive training efficiencies to ensure timeliness and compliance.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform daily/monthly QCs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
