Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a plasmapheresis technician to perform venipunctures and operate automated plasmapheresis equipment. The role emphasizes maintaining donor safety and high-quality plasma collection in a compliant, customer-focused environment.

You will ensure adherence to FDA, CLIA, OSHA, and GMP standards, maintain detailed documentation, and support a clean, efficient center while providing excellent donor service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 3 months experience in medical/healthcare preferred.
• Documentation of training completed before duties independently.
• State requirements may require specific certifications/licenses.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP standards.
• Provide excellent donor service and maintain donor experience.
• Stock and replenish supplies to meet production needs.
• Verify donor identification and maintain confidentiality.
• Set up equipment and label samples for venipuncture and plasmapheresis.
• Perform venipuncture and plasma collection to high safety standards.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms.
• Monitor donor safety and adjust procedures for comfort.
• Calibrate and maintain plasmapheresis equipment daily.
• Maintain logs and document any unsafe situations.
• Assist with training and ensure timely compliance.
