Octapharma Plasma, Inc. seeks a plasmapheresis technician to execute venipuncture and plasma collection, ensuring compliant operations and high-quality donor care. You will set up equipment, monitor donors, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced center.

The role requires adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot machine alarms. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential for a positive donor experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3 months’ experience in a medical/health care setting preferred.
• Documentation of training completed before performing duties independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure total operation complies with state and federal regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP) to maintain high production standards and facility compliance.
• Maintain high customer service level and positive donor experience in line with company values.
• Stock and replenish supplies; maintain a clean, professional work environment.
• Review and confirm donor identification and maintain donor confidentiality per SOPs.
• Set up and prepare all equipment for venipuncture and plasmapheresis; label units and samples accurately.
• Execute venipunctures and plasma collection with high quality and safety.
• Operate automated plasmapheresis machines; respond to alarms and document exceptions.
• Monitor donor conditions and ensure donor safety and plasma product quality.
• Calibrate and maintain plasmapheresis machines; remove/replace equipment as needed.
• Maintain thorough documentation, including machine logs, and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Drive training efficiencies to ensure timeliness and compliance.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms/alerts and perform daily/monthly QC on equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
