Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a donor center technician to execute plasmapheresis procedures including venipuncture and donor care. You will ensure regulatory compliance, maintain equipment, and support a safe, efficient center environment.

The role requires attention to SOPs, strong customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Applicants should have a HS diploma and relevant healthcare exposure.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Three (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Completed documentation of training appropriate for duties, prior to performing duties independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance with SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP to maintain production standards.
• Maintain first-class donor experience and service.
• Stock supplies and keep a clean, professional environment.
• Verify donor ID and confidentiality per SOPs.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis; label units correctly.
• Perform venipunctures and plasma collection with high quality and safety.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms and events.
• Monitor donor safety and plasma quality; manage waste per safety protocols.
• Calibrate and maintain plasmapheresis machines; remove/replace equipment as needed.
• Maintain detailed logs and report unsafe conditions; support training efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform routine QC checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
