Job summary

CSL Vifor in Parma, OH seeks a Plasma Collection Technician to ensure accurate sampling, testing, shipping, and storage of donor plasma. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and work in a fast-paced environment with strict SOP adherence.

Responsibilities include collecting and labeling plasma samples, maintaining sterility with heat sealing, and documenting donor data in the information system. Occasional cross-training and bilingual duties may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Store plasma units according to SOPs with proper labeling and handling.
• Ensure accurate labeling by verifying pre-printed vs dynamic labels.
• Use sterile technique and heat sealer to maintain sterility and quality.
• May pack and ship samples and units; prepare shipping and disposal documentation.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily as per SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain confidentiality of all donor, personnel and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required per organizational needs.
