Job summary

CSL Vifor in Florida is seeking a Plasma Processing Technician to handle sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma in a fast-paced, compliant environment.

You will follow SOPs, maintain sterility with sterile technique and heat sealing, verify labels, and document shipping and disposal as required. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and confidentiality in donor data handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples in compliance with SOPs and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are stored correctly according to SOPs and handle unsuitable plasma units when required.
• Verify that pre-printed labels match dynamic labels to ensure labeling accuracy.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and employ heat sealer to maintain sterility and quality per SOPs.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as needed according to center procedures.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report issues immediately; record variances.
• Perform daily calibration of equipment in line with SOPs.
• Accurately record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Understand policies related to hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed to support operations.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
