Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a plasma handling technician responsible for sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma. You will follow SOPs, ensure accurate labeling, and maintain strict confidentiality while supporting center operations.

The role involves temperature monitoring, daily equipment calibration and data entry in the donor information management system, with potential cross-training and bilingual requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer per SOP.
• Ensure plasma units are stored according to SOPs.
• Verify pre-printed label matches dynamic label.
• Use sterile technique and heat sealer to ensure sterility.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures, report variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily as per SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required, as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
