Job summary

CSL Vifor in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Plasma Center Technician responsible for sampling, testing, shipping and storing plasma collected from donors. You will follow SOPs and report to the Assistant Center Manager.

Duties include collecting plasma samples with sterile technique, labeling units accurately, monitoring temperatures, calibrating equipment daily, documenting donor data, and ensuring safety and confidentiality. Some cross-training and bilingual ability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are stored according to SOPs and manage labeling accuracy.
• Utilize sterile technique to draw samples and use heat sealer to guarantee sterility.
• May pack and ship samples in accordance with SOPs and prepare shipping documentation.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and record variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily and maintain accurate donor data in the management system.
