Job summary

CSL is seeking a Plasma Processing Technician to accurately collect plasma samples, move plasma units to freezers, and ensure proper storage per SOPs. You will verify labels, maintain sterility, prepare shipments and disposal documents, and monitor temperatures with variance reports.

The role requires adhering to HSE/OSHA policies, maintaining donor confidentiality, and potential cross-training in other areas as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Will perform basic math calculations.
Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization's discretion.

Responsibilities

Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
Ensure plasma units are properly stored according to SOPs.
Verify pre-printed label matches dynamic label to ensure unit labeling accuracy.
Use sterile technique to draw samples and seal to assure sterility and quality.
Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as required by SOPs.
Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report variances.
Conduct daily calibration of equipment per SOPs.
Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
