Job summary

CSL is seeking a Plasma Sample Technician to support donor plasma collection, sampling, labeling, and storage at our Charlotte center. You will ensure accurate labeling, sterile processing, and proper handling of plasma units in a fast-paced environment.

You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and may assist with shipping, documentation, and privacy of donor information, while adhering to SOPs, HSE and OSHA policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Store plasma units properly according to SOPs.
• Verify that pre-printed labels match dynamic labels to ensure accuracy.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and employ heat sealer for sterility and quality.
• May pack and ship samples and units; prepare shipping and disposal documentation.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures; report equipment issues; record variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily as per SOPs.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Understand policies on hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at organization discretion.
