Job summary

CSL in Topeka, KS is seeking a Plasma Sample Technician to ensure accurate sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma. You will follow SOPs, maintain labeling accuracy, and employ sterile techniques to uphold product quality.

Responsibilities include moving units to freezers, monitoring temperatures, documenting donor data, and assisting with shipping and disposal paperwork. Overtime may be required to support center operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Store plasma units properly according to SOPs.
• Ensure accuracy of unit labeling by verifying against dynamic label.
• Utilize sterile technique to draw samples and maintain sterility of plasma units.
• May prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation according to SOPs.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and record variances.
• Conduct daily calibration of equipment according to SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and comply with HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
