Job summary

CSL is seeking a plasma collection technician to efficiently perform pheresis procedures, ensuring donor safety and product quality. The role includes donor setup, monitoring, and post-donation data recording in the center's electronic system.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 12 months in a medical environment, with potential California-specific certification requirements where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• For California centers, state certification as a Phlebotomy Technician I or RN licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture to initiate pheresis and monitor the pheresis process per SOPs.
• Set up donors, monitor during donation, and disconnect donors after pheresis.
• Evaluate donor vein performance and adjust procedures to ensure donor safety and efficiency.
• Educate donors on donation processes, screening, nutrition, and center policies.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
