Octapharma Plasma, Inc. in Petersburg, VA is seeking a plasmapheresis technician to perform venipunctures and operate automated plasmapheresis machines, ensuring donations meet safety and quality standards.

You will follow SOPs, maintain donor comfort and confidentiality, document machine logs, and participate in training and maintenance tasks, with a strong emphasis on compliance and teamwork. This full-time role requires day and evening shifts, weekend coverage, and the ability to travel

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 months in a medical/healthcare setting.
• Completed training for duties prior to performing independently.

Mansioni

• Ensure operation complies with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP requirements.
• Maintain donor experience and service quality.
• Maintain clean work areas and manage inventory.
• Verify donor identity and monitor safety and confidentiality.
• Set up equipment and label collected units.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms.
• Disinfect and dispose biohazard waste per safety protocols.
• Calibrate/maintain machines and document results.
• Train teammates as a designated trainer.
• Collaborate with QA on donor floor performance and CAPAs.
