Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a plasmapheresis technician to execute venipuncture procedures and operate plasmapheresis machines while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role emphasizes high-quality donor service, meticulous documentation, and strict safety protocols.

You will set up equipment, monitor donor conditions, manage inventory, train teammates, and collaborate with QA to drive continuous improvement. Day and evening hours, including weekends, may be required.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 months’ experience in a medical/health care environment.
• Completed training documentation prior to performing duties independently.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with FDA/OSHA/CLIA/GMP to maintain high production standards and facility compliance.
• Maintain donor experience and customer service aligned with company values.
• Keep work areas clean, manage inventory with FIFO and report unsafe conditions.
• Verify donor ID, monitor donor conditions, and protect confidentiality.
• Set up equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis; label units accurately.
• Perform venipunctures and plasma collection safely and to quality standards.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines, respond to alarms, document exceptions, and manage donor adverse events.
• Dispose biohazard waste and clean spills per safety protocols.
• Calibrate/maintain machines daily/weekly/monthly and replace equipment as needed.
• Maintain thorough machine logs and documentation.
• Mentor and train team members as Designated Trainer; drive training efficiencies.
• Troubleshoot alarms and perform QC daily/monthly and periodic checks quarterly/annually.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance on donor floor performance and CAPA initiatives.
