Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist in the Pittsburgh, PA area. You will collect plasma, screen donors, and perform phlebotomy to support center operations. Evening and rotating weekend shifts are required, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and participate in daily donor flow, safety procedures, and data entry while maintaining a high standard of donor service and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk/stand for the entire shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs and occasional up to 50 lbs.
• Glove wear due to bloodborne pathogens for many tasks; safety first.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and operate plasmapheresis equipment.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
• Record donor measurements and enter data into DIS.
• Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors via Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying opportunities for process improvement.
