Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Livonia, MI is hiring a Phlebotomist to screen donors and perform plasmapheresis under supervision. You will ensure donor safety, collect high-quality plasma, document measures, and support center operations with a focus on customer service.

The role requires standing, lifting when necessary, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior customer-facing experience is helpful, with a starting hourly wage of $18.00 and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1) requiring glove use.
• 1+ year minimum experience in a customer/patient-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machine.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within training scope.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
