Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Livonia, MI is seeking an entry level Phlebotomist with paid training. You will greet donors, perform venipuncture, monitor during donation, and operate plasmapheresis equipment under supervision.

This role emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and safety, with evenings, weekends, and holidays required. The position offers part-time hours, benefits, and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven plasma center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• 1+ years minimum experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture of donors and programming of plasmapheresis machine.
• Monitor donors during the donation process and manage donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within training scope.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
• Record donor vital signs and enter data into DIS.
• Coordinate donors to donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational improvements.
