Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Michigan’s Ypsilanti area is seeking a plasma donor screener/phlebotomy support role. You will greet donors, conduct vital signs, and manage donor charts while following strict safety and quality standards.

The position requires a high school diploma, willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to lift light weights. Prior customer-facing experience is helpful and a team-focused environment is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and hearing from distance.
• 90% of tasks require glove wear due to potential bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ year in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors; record vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System; prepare donor charts and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements using approved procedures.
• Work various shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
