Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Springfield, MO is seeking a Plasma Donor Screener and phlebotomist to support center operations. You will ensure donor safety and perform phlebotomy, while documenting donor information in the center systems.

You will answer phones, screen donors, record vital signs, and coordinate donor compensation. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays with a focus on quality and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens, 90% of tasks require glove wear.
• 1+ year experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and initiate changes per approved procedures.
• Work varied shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
