Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Plasma Donor Screener/Phlebotomist to support center operations and ensure donor safety. You will participate in donor screening, vital signs collection, and record-keeping as part of a patient-focused team.

You will work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, and start at $16.00 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities in a fast-paced, life-saving environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift up to 5 lbs, with occasional lifting up to 32–50 lbs.
• Fine motor skills, depth perception and hearing equipment from a distance.
• Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens with glove wear required for most tasks.
• 1+ years in a customer-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record vital signs and finger sticks.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, and coordinate compensation.
• Identify opportunities for center process improvements and apply approved changes.
• Support donors across varied shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
