Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a Donor Center professional responsible for evaluating donors’ eligibility for automated plasmapheresis procedures and administering approved immunizations per state regulations and SOPs.

The role includes limited emergency care as permitted by licensure, training, and SOPs, and requires knowledge of all operational areas within the plasma center. Compliance with SOPs, cGMP, and regulatory guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

  • Physician, LPN, or RN graduate of a recognized healthcare-related program.
  • EMT Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced/Paramedic: certification or license as EMT, if allowable.
  • State-issued authorization or license to perform moderate complexity testing.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate donor eligibility through medical history reviews, physical assessments, and informed consent discussions in accordance with SOPs, FDA, CLIA, and cGMP.
  • Review, document, and verify donor information, immunization records, and test results in the donor management system (NexLynk).
  • Classify donors into appropriate programs and monitor for adverse reactions, providing care as allowed by training and licensure.
  • Consult with the center Licensed Physician regarding abnormal results, donor eligibility concerns, and immunization orders.
  • Counsel deferred donors, ensure confidentiality, and refer donors to health departments when needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation such as Physician Communication Logs and donor eligibility assessments.
  • Train as a Donor Center Technician I and serve as a QA Backup when needed.
  • Mentor and train new Medical Professionals as a Designated Trainer to support workforce development.
  • Support center compliance with SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient, donor-focused environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Physician, LPN, or RN: Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related program
