Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Plasma Donor Collection Technician in Michigan to perform venipuncture and oversee centrifuge-based plasma collection. You will monitor donors, operate pheresis equipment, and document all donor-related data per SOPs.

The role requires adherence to FDA guidelines, good patient safety practices, and the ability to educate donors on testing, screening, and donation policies. A positive donor experience is a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a medical or health care environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture to begin pheresis and collect plasma.
• Monitor donors during the pheresis process and ensure donor safety.
• Operate and troubleshoot pheresis equipment per SOPs.
• Record donor data and incidents using the PDA as required by SOPs.
• Educate donors on donation process, screening, and policies as needed.
• Respond to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff promptly.
• Maintain clean work area and comply with HSE/OSHA policies.
• Cross-train in other areas if needed.
