Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Plasma Donor Center Technician to perform pheresis procedures, donor setup and monitoring, and post-donation care. You will collect samples, enter data, and ensure compliance with SOPs and FDA guidelines in a fast-paced center.

The role requires a high school diploma, 6–12 months phlebotomy/healthcare experience, and attention to safety, with potential cross-training and bilingual communication as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Internal CSL DST training completed by CSL Plasma employees.
• External candidates: minimum 6 months' phlebotomy experience; 12 months in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedures including donor setup, monitoring, and disconnect in SOPs.
• Conduct venipuncture per FDA guidelines to start pheresis.
• Assess donor vein performance and adjust to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Educate donors on plasma products, screening, testing, and center policies.
• Monitor for donor reactions and assist or escalate as needed.
• Record incidents and machine data using the PDA and management systems.
• Calibrate equipment, perform maintenance verifications, and troubleshoot alarms.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and document incidents; replace equipment as needed.
• Monitor donor flow on the floor and communicate issues to leadership.
• Collect arm or whole blood samples for testing; ensure accurate donor data entry.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor, personnel, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and support safety policies.
