Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a phlebotomy/pheresis technician to support plasma donation operations in a fast-paced center. You will perform pheresis procedures, monitor donors, and ensure all activities follow SOPs and FDA guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma, 6+ months phlebotomy experience (1 year preferred), and ability to educate donors while maintaining accurate data records. Overtime may be required in a busy center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• External candidates must have 6 months+ phlebotomy experience; 1 year preferred.
• Internal CSL Employees must have completed the CSL Plasma DST training.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedures and plasma collection per SOPs.
• Perform donor venipuncture to begin pheresis.
• Monitor donor vein performance and adjust to expedite donation safely.
• Educate new donors on donation process, screening, tests, policies, and nutrition.
• Monitor for donor reactions and support staff as needed.
• Record incidents with the PDA and maintain donor data.
• Perform calibrations and respond to equipment alarms and issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and replace faulty components.
• Manage donor flow on the floor to ensure turnover and safety.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and wear PPE as required.
• May cross-train in other areas and work overtime as needed.
