Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• External candidates must have a minimum of 6 months’ experience as a phlebotomist; one year preferable.
• Internal CSL Employees applicants must have completed the CSL Plasma DST training.
• Minimum twelve months of experience in a medical or health care environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedure and plasma collection including donor setup, monitoring and disconnect.
• Perform venipuncture to begin pheresis in compliance with SOPs and FDA guidelines.
• Educate donors on donor process, screening, nutrition and center policies as needed.
• Monitor donor reactions and record incidents; respond or escalate appropriately.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system as SOPs require.
