Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a plasmapheresis technician to perform venipuncture and plasma collection, ensuring compliance with FDA SOPs and safety standards. You will maintain donor confidentiality and provide excellent donor service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires handling plasmapheresis equipment, documenting machine logs, and performing routine maintenance and QCs. Candidates should have strong communication, reliability, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Three (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Completed documentation of training appropriate for duties, prior to performing duties independently.

Responsibilities

• Execute plasmapheresis procedures and venipuncture.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
• Maintain donor experience and provide high level of customer service.
• Stock and replenish supplies; maintain a clean, professional work environment.
• Verify donor identification and maintain donor confidentiality per SOPs.
• Set up equipment and supplies; label units and samples accurately.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines; monitor alarms and donor safety.
• Document machine logs and safety incidents; report unsafe conditions.
• Calibrate and maintain plasmapheresis machines; perform routine QCs.
• Train teammates and drive training efficiencies.
