Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three months' experience in clerical or customer service preferred.
• Certification or licensing may be required by state.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and follow regulations and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensures total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations (e.g. FDA approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP).
• Maintains high level of customer service and positive donor experience.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and adequate supplies.
• Maintains donor center equipment and monitors donor conditions.
• Maintains donor confidentiality and accurate record keeping.
• Troubleshoots machine alarms and performs daily/monthly quality checks.
• Cleans spills and handles biohazardous waste per procedures.
• Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.
• Ensures donors meet eligibility criteria and performs vitals evaluation.
• Performs finger stick for Microhematocrit and Total Protein.
• Registers applicant donors per procedures.
• Sets up and prepares plasmapheresis equipment and disposables.
• Operates plasmapheresis machines and responds to alarms and donor adverse events.
• Performs sterile collection and storage of plasma product and samples.
• Organizes samples and products in storage and prepares shipments per procedures.
