Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking staff to determine donor eligibility, collect plasma, and process products while upholding strict compliance and safety standards.

You will operate automated plasmapheresis equipment, monitor donor conditions, and ensure accurate recordkeeping and quality control. A background in customer service and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three months of clerical or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and understand English and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations to maintain production standards and facility compliance.
• Maintain high levels of customer service, donor confidentiality, and positive donor experience.
• Monitor donor conditions and perform eligibility assessments, including vitals and testing.
• Set up, prepare, and operate automated plasmapheresis equipment and respond to alarms.
• Perform plasma collection and processing, including sample handling and shipment preparation.
• Monitor temperatures, report malfunctions, and document variances.
• Maintain donor center cleanliness and proper disposal of biohazardous waste.
• Maintain and perform quality control on equipment and records.
• Provide oversight of product safety and donor safety, and respond to adverse events.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine QC checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
